Coming to class for the first time?
Here are some guidelines to help ~
- Wear comfortable clothing that will allow you to move and breathe.
For women and men: athletic shorts, leggings, cotton knit pants, sweats,
t-shirts are all appropriate. Wear layers for the warm-up and cool down ~ you may
want to have on a light jacket, socks, etc. Once the class gets active, you will shed those layers.
- Do not eat immediately before class. If possible, allow 1–2 hours after eating before coming to class. Do not chew gum during class, it can be a distraction.
- Turn off your cell phone.
- Arrive early to find your space, to set up and get comfortable.
- Enter the room quietly, and if needed, speak softly. We like to maintain a meditative environment in the studio.
- Remove your shoes at the door and place them in the shoe case or near the door. Please do not walk into the studio wearing street shoes. We sit and lie on the floor and need to respect the space.
- Coats, handbags and other personal belongings may be stored in the cloak room.
- If it is necessary to come late, please slip in very quietly so you do not disturb the rest of the class.
